The senses do not draw us away from the Way; clinging and following them into unconsciousness does.
An ill mind produces anger
A colored mind, desire
A slimy mind, laziness
A darkened mind, doubt
A turpid mind, agitation
The water of a clear mind does not mean weather ceases, it does not mean illness, coloring, slime, darkening, or turpidity fall away. It means that present in all these is an awareness beyond mind. Radiantly pure, it shines through when clung to, or is covered when we wander.
Any mental movement is mind. Chasing or fleeing, come back to the natural state, which Is irrespective of movement. Dawning in a pure light, the rays of awareness shine forth on the Hidden Pass.
